The nature of tyranny

It is indeed a great book. It is surprising that the Arabs did not preserve it for their children's books, so they would memorize it, and they did not erect a statue of its author, so they remembered and imitated him. It is one of the factors of the renaissance in the history of the modern Arabs and their guide to get rid of the tyranny of the Ottoman sultans. The beauty of it is that it does not emanate from malice, does not call for revenge, and is not directed at a specific ruler, or a specific ruler, or a specific country. It is the cry of a believing philosopher, a suffering scientist, who reveals the most dangerous disease that can afflict a people, and prescribes a cure for it, trying not to amputate any part of the body.
