Don't get into an argument with a fool. And don't hurt him with words. Tan in front of an intruder and turn away from attackers. And sleep the night before speaking. For a storm blows like wildfire, and a foolish man in his hour of anger must withdraw from his sight and leave him to his tricks (or forgive him for them) and God knows how to recompense him.
And if you spend your life conscious of these things in your heart, your children will see them. "
Salim Hassan (1893–1961) is called the Dean of Egyptian Archaeologists, and he has many important archaeological discoveries, studies, and pioneering books, most notably the "Encyclopedia of Ancient Egypt" in eighteen parts, of which we present the part in which Salim Hassan collected and translated the most important texts of wisdom, proverbs, advice, and Egyptian teachings.
