(The Book of Truth) by its author Abu Saeed, Ahmed bin Issa Al-Kharraz, "died in the year 277 AH." He put into it a point of view in Sharia that apparently agrees with the views of Islamic schools of jurisprudence and is not without conflict with other schools, where Al-Kharraz, like other Sufis of Baghdad, tried to bring the two sides closer together. In Sufism, which has lost its charm and ascetic character among the people and among the schools of jurisprudence, or in the Sufi term, "between Sharia and the truth," he insisted that Sharia has no two sides: outward and inward, and that "every interior that contradicts the apparent is false." Al-Kharraz here writes the Book of Truthfulness for the Sufis only, as Dr. "Qasim al-Samarrai" says in his introduction to this book,"... and he numbs them from the fact that this book falls into the hands of those who do not understand its intent." For him it was opened in Isfahan, the ax of his understanding...

The Book of Truthfulness, according to Al-Kharraz, is based on three principles that a Muslim works by in order to "strengthen his faith, establish its facts, and establish its branches, so at that time his actions will be clear and he will be saved, God willing." He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Say, ‘If I am commanded to worship God sincerely in religion, then be truthful to the words of God Almighty.’ O you who believe, be patient or be patient... These are three names with different meanings, and they are included in all works; works are not completed without them.".

This, and the Book of Truthfulness by Sheikh Al-Kharraz came in sixteen (16) chapters, presented to him by Dr. "Qasim Al-Samarrai," and he brought out the manuscript and Professor "Arthur John Arbery" commented on it.
