I chose this title for my publication because it represents the<> gray area<> that was once a part of my life — a period when writing was a need I had to fulfill, or else I would find myself suffering from a restless mind, scattered thoughts, and sleepless nights.
A single image could stir my emotions, a scene could stop me in my tracks — whether it was an idea from a book, a moment I witnessed somewhere, a scene from a film, or something drawn from real life. Even my personal experiences, with all their events, details, and the people around me — all of it — I felt a constant urge to pour onto paper, in a style that gave me an almost euphoric pleasure as I played with words, rhythm, and prose.
This short introduction explains the reason behind choosing the title “My Ashes”. In short, although this realm was dark, somber, and carried a heavy impact on me, I never saw it as pitch-black. Within it, I saw a glimmer of light — a refuge of comfort and reassurance. I enjoyed transforming any thought-provoking moment into poetic or prose form. Even when it exhausted me or brought me to tears, it also consoled me — because it was the fruit of my own thoughts and deep emotions.
