A Smile of Hope

Today, on the occasion of more than twenty years since I discovered my passion for writing, I present to you my new literary creation — a theatrical trilogy that brings together diverse works: classical Arabic plays, heritage-inspired plays, and children’s theatre scripts.

This trilogy consists of three theatrical releases, each exploring different styles within the same field. In this particular volume, I present to you<> “A Smile of Hope (A Smile of Hope)”, a collection of theatrical texts for children — an extension of my pen’s deep connection with the world of the child.

My journey into this field grew through years of reading, research, and academic pursuit, culminating in my Bachelor’s thesis at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, specializing in Theatre Criticism and Literature, entitled “The National Cause in Children’s Theatre – Kuwait.”

In this publication, you will encounter a pen that carries within its pages humanistic and educational values through four theatrical scripts: “The Tree of Wonders,” “A Lost Wish,” “Gleam,” and “A Smile of Hope.” These works have participated in several festivals and received numerous awards.

I do not boast of my knowledge of children’s theatre — but I do take pride in my love for that curious and innocent being who deserves art that respects their imagination, taste, and intellect. Theatre, I believe, plays a role no less important than home or school in shaping a child’s awareness, understanding, and cognitive development.
